Nai e filla. Filla e nai. María vive en O Carballiño e a súa filla Ana en Ourense, pero comparten unha finca na montaña, en Zobra, Lalín, onde desempeñan o oficio da apicultura.
María, como moitos galegos e galegas, emigrou de moza co seu marido ao País Vasco, onde naceron as súas fillas, unha delas Ana, que é a que segue á súa nai no traballo do mel na parroquia lalinense de Zobra, onde hai unha importante produción deste doce alimento.
María representa a tradición e Ana o relevo xeracional dun oficio con moito futuro, unha actividade á que se suma cada vez máis xente moza e que fai que haxa en Galicia preto de 5.000 granxas apícolas rexistradas e que o número de colmeas medre cada ano no territorio galego.
Mother and daughter. Daughter and mother. The mother María lives in O Carballiño and her daughter Ana in Ourense, but they share a farm in the mountains, in Zobra, Lalín, where they work as beekeepers.
Like many Galicians, as a young woman María and her husband emigrated to the Basque Country, where their daughters were born. One of them, Ana, follows her mother in the honey work in the parish of Zobra in Lalin, where there is an important production of this sweet food.
María represents tradition and Ana the generational relay of a profession with a long future, an activity to which more and more young people are joining and which means that there are close to 5,000 registered beekeeping farms in Galicia and that the number of beehives grows every year in the Galician territory.
